Dear Mr. Sanborn,
I'm writing in regards to my son Nathans attendance to your driving school. I was impressed that you told us that the parents and partners were allowed to sit in on the classless or ride along with our children or significant others etc. as long as we didn't interfere with teaching.
After setting in on the first classes I was highly impressed that you not only got 5 teenagers attention but got them engaged and had feedback on the things you were teaching them. I think that is in part because you didn't talk down to them and I saw amazed by some of the information you gave.
For starters I didn't know that a vehicle traveling at 60 miles an hour takes over a foot ball field to come to a stop and that off road recovery, when one or more tires goes off the pavement, is the number 1 cause of death for drivers from the age of 16 to 24 and that you take every student out and teach them how to recover when this happens. I don't know of any other school doing this.
My son told me how you broke down the different types of parking that made it easy for him to understand and that you took them all out and practced each type. He also told me that he enjoyed the class. I've seen interactions with my son and yourself since the class and it is very apparent that you have an excellent rapport with your students and there is obvious mutual respect there. Feel Free to use this letter as you see fit. Other people should have the opportunity to here feedback about your school.
Sincerely,
Jamie James Robertson
